Practitioner Mentoring Weekend: Differentiation: A Deeper Look

Don't miss this opportunity to take part in one of Jeff Haller's ongoing mentoring weekends.

This weekend's theme comes out of recent discussions among practitioners on the subjects of dystonia, differentiation and clarity of purpose. Nothing simple here, but context and clarity can transform our clients' multi-layered, multi-dimensional questions into something more concrete and touchable.

With this context in mind we will look at:

  • The need for precision in the use and meaning of “differentiation” in the Feldenkrais Method, in the larger context of function and integration;
  • The principle of equal and opposite movement / forces, relative to a surface and relative to internal sensation / intention, through the feet and ankles, hip and shoulder joints, and on to the neck and carriage of the head;
  • This may bring up questions around working with muscle tone, such as specific compensation to a generalized tone.

Bring your thoughts and questions; it will be an interesting investigation.

$250; space is extremely limited.

To register, contact May Nasser.

More about Jeff's Mentoring Groups:

In these mentoring groups, participants lead the investigations with their questions and we work with material relevant to their practices. It gives us a chance to explore ATM and FI while extending our conversations about growing a practice. This is self-motivated, self-initiated learning—the richest kind. In these sessions, real interest is brought to bear and as a whole we learn together.

The small groups are a great size for a weekend session; Jeff can personally touch and work with everyone and the intimacy of the group lends itself to rich experience.
